Day 1 - Home Port in Australiato Rome via Singapore with Singapore Airlines. arrival in Rome the following morning. On arrival in Rome you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Hotel Executive Rome.

Early this evening meet your Tour Leader and fellow travellers for a drink at our hotel. Dinner own arrangements
Rome, Days 2 & 3 - Two days to enjoy this wonderful city. We will have an orientation tour on our first morning in the city taking in the Trevi Fountain, Coliseum, Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps. Visit the interior of the Parthenon and continue on to St Peter's Square passing Castel St Angelo. We visit the Basilica of St Peter's to admire among other treasures, the Pieta by Michelangelo.
After lunch a free afternoon to explore Rome on your own. Meet in hotel lobby at at 6.00pm for a special Italian dinner. (included in tour cost).
The following afternoon we will follow the ancient Via Turburtina 30kms, east of Rome to visit and compare two splendid villas from two different ages; the Villa Hadrian dating back to Roman times and the Villa D'Este from the Renaissance period entrance included. Evening at leisure.
Lake Maggiore, Days 3, 4 & 5 - three days and nights to enjoy the spectacular northern lakes area. We travel by first class rail to Milan and transfer by local train to Belgirate, Lake Maggiore for 3 nights. Dinner and breakfast included each day. Hotel Milano or similar.

The beauty and the charm of the Italian Lakes will mystify you. We visit the Palace Isola, the towns of Stresa and Baveno. Lunch and afternoon at leisure. Dinner at the hotel is included.
This morning we enjoy the town of Belgirate, enjoy the walks in between buildings, hire a boat, swimming and other lake activities. This afternoon take the local bus to the town of Arona. Dinner at the hotel.
Venice Days 6 & 7 - two days and nights to experience this unique city.
Enjoy an evening Gondola Serenade included in tour cost. Dinner own arrangements. The following morning is free time for you to walk the city, or enjoy coffee at St Mark's Square. This morning we depart for Florence. Accommodation Hotel Gorizia A La Valigia.

Florence, Days 7, 8 & 9 - Three days and nights to explore Florence, we depart Venice by afternoon train. On arrival at Florence we transfer to our hotel. Evening at leisure. Accommodation Villa Gabriele Florence special accommodation.

This morning we begin a half day walking tour taking in the Piazza del Duomo, where you can visit the Cathedral and its Dome by Brunelleschi. Palazzo del Bargello and the Uffizi Gallery one of the most important museums of the world. By crossing Ponte Vecchio, the jewels bridge you will reach the wonderful Pitti Palace.
This evening at 6.00pm we will dine at a local Florentine restaurant. included in tour cost.
Today is at leisure to enjoy the local life of Florence. Visit the Gallery of Accademia, to admire the original David by Michelangelo. Visit the small hill top town of Fiesole and enjoy afternoon tea at Villa San Michele. Evening at leisure.
San Gimignano, Days 10 & 11 - This morning we travel by coach for a fully guided sightseeing tour to Tuscany and Siena before ending our tour at the hill top town of San Gimignano for a special two night stay. Tomorrow morning enjoy a two hour orientation tour of this walled city with its beautiful ancient towers. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore the many alabaster galleries which is renowned in this area of Tuscany. This evening we dine at the hotel. included in tour cost. Hotel Leon Bianca.

Perugia, Days 12 & 13 - This morning we travel by first class train to Perugia.
This afternoon is at leisure. Dinner at the hotel. Included in tour cost
This morning we will have an orientation of the city visiting Rocca Paolina, Italy's largest fortress - Corso Vanucci, leading to the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. Walk the picturesque town on the medieval Perugia to the Estruscan Arco di Augusto along the Estruscan wall. Evening at Leisure. Albergo Fortuna Hotel or similar. Dinner at the hotel included in tour cost.
The remainder of the day is free to explore Perugia, you may like to travel the short distance by train to Assisi to the birth place of St Francis and visit the various museums. Dinner at the hotel included in tour cost.
Positano, Amalfi Coast. Days 14 - 18 - This morning we travel by first class train to Naples and transfer to mini coach to visit the spectacular town of Positano, the jewel of the Amalfi Coast. Positano is an excellent base from which to visit Ravello, Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri and Pompeii. Visit the Blue Grotto on Capri. These four nights are at your leisure to enjoy this superb area. A day tour will be included to Pompei on the 2nd day, and a special dinner will be organised on the first evening to provide you with a briefing by your Tour Guide on the area's to visit in this area. Dinner included on our first evening.

Day 19 - Return to Rome to connect with your flight home or extend your stay. A stopover in Singapore is permitted on the way home. We can provide excellent stopover rates in Singapore.
Catherine can assist you with any further travel arrangements. If you would like to visit Sicily we can arrange city packs for this area and walks to the Cinque de Terre region. Italy is a special place, every city and town is unique. We can also offer cooking school packages in Umbria.

The final payment is due eight weeks prior to departure.

Please note deposits and tour costs are non refundable and therefore travel insurance is strongly recommended. The insurance will cover against cancellation for a valid reason only ie. Death or illness including family members providing the family member does not have a pre-existing medical condition. (prexisting medical conditions may apply), cancellation of annual leave by your employer and redundancy of job. It is recommended to take out travel insurance at the same time deposit payments are made.
Two amendments are provided free of charge, for further amendments to your travel arrangements a fee of $11.00 per amendment will be charged.
All tour prices are valid at the time of print. Please note costs may fluctuate due to airfare increases and currency fluctuations until paid in full.

For foreign passport holders pleasure ensure you have a valid re-entry visa to return to Australia.
No credit or refund is possible for unused services of which is included in this tour. Should the unlikely situation occur of a complaint during your holiday about any travel arrangements should be reported immediately to the tour leader, in order to be given the opportunity to solve any issues. Our tour leader is an experienced travel agent with over 20 years experience together with the support of local tour operators and hotels including Travelscene Southbank.
The tour described in the brochure represents a 'complete package' and as such, an itemised breakdown of component costs will not be given. The tour is based on a maximum of 20 people.
